My research focus surrounds the psychological impacts of being an emergency responder. I currently serve as a full time faculty member at TTU and as a counselor in clinical practice. I joined the Putnam County Fire Department in Cookeville, Tennessee while completing my undergraduate degree. I served there for 10 years until moving to Lebanon, TN, but remain licensed as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician.
